Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, met yesterday with a delegation from the newly formed Geriatric Society of Trinidad and Tobago.
Dr. Lavanya Thondavada, Dr. Sambhasivan Kattamanchi, Fr. Martin Sirju, Mrs. Claire Gittens and Ms Paige Eligon discussed with Her Excellency the ways in which their organisation hoped to assist the elderly especially those, who because of their age and circumstances, have become isolated from society.
Her Excellency expressed her interest in and appreciation for the organisation’s fledgling efforts and asked to be kept updated on their progress.
