Celebrating 114 Years of Excellence with the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force!

“Your dedication, skill, and unity shine brightly, embodying values essential for our nation’s progress.” These were the sentiments shared by His Excellency Nigel de Freitas, Acting President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago as he congratulated the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force as they celebrated 114 Years of Excellence at their annual parade, today, May 24, 2024 at Skinner Park, San Fernando.

His Excellency told the Cadets and their commanding officers that discipline, a cornerstone of our national watchwords, is vividly displayed in their actions and it is the bridge between goals and achievement. “Discipline is essential for both personal and national development.”

As His Excellency closed, he challenged the Cadets to continue practicing self-discipline and strive to be leaders who understand the impact of their actions on the wider community and thanked the adult volunteers for their commitment and service in shaping the future of our nation.

For over a century, the Cadet Force has been a beacon of responsible and productive citizenship, thanks to the unwavering efforts of adult volunteers who guide our youth. This noble institution equips young minds with the skills and tools needed to thrive, fostering a sense of national pride and civic responsibility.

Let’s celebrate this remarkable achievement and look forward to many more years of service to God and country. Happy 114th Anniversary, Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force!
