Appointments to the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago

Mr. Adrian Beharry has been reappointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago. Mr. Beharry is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Maritime Studies at the University of Trinidad and Tobago and a member of the International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME).
Also reappointed as Commissioners to the Board of Commissioners of the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago are Mr. Tommy Elias, a Member and Past President of the Tobago Chamber of Commerce; Ms. Suzette Baptiste, a Project Management Professional who has served as the Assistant Secretary and Public Relations Officer of the Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago; Mr. Dexter Jaggernauth, an expert in Risk Management, Project Management, Statistics, Financial Analysis and Project Operations Analysis; and Ms. Candida Hart, a Senior Planning Officer in the Central Planning Unit of the Ministry of Works and Transport.
The Commissioners took their oaths of office before Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago last Tuesday May 25 in a strictly socially distanced ceremony at President’s House.
The President's House welcomed another wonderful mix of visitors in the month of July, as people of all ages experienced the rich heritage and beauty of one of our nation's most treasured landmarks.Students, summer camps, church groups and other visitors journeyed through the House's historic rooms and explored its verdant grounds, home to a variety of flora and fauna.
