Their Excellencies host Divali celebrations with staff of the Office of the President

Since assuming office in 2023, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Kerwyn Garcia, SC, First Gentleman, have hosted Divali celebrations with staff of the Office of the President.

The tradition continued on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, as staff joined Their Excellencies to observe the Festival of Lights ahead of the international celebrations. The evening began with a prayer offered by Mr. Shivan Ramjattan, followed by a brief address from Her Excellency and the lighting of deyas across the grounds of The President’s House.
