Statement on the Passing of Hochoy Charles

Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, notes with profound sorrow, the passing of Mr. Hochoy Charles.

Mr. Charles will long be remembered as a vibrant voice for the people of Tobago who eventually rose to become the first ever Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly.

On behalf of the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago, and on her own behalf, Her Excellency offers sincere condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and supporters of Mr. Hochoy Charles.

May he rest in eternal peace.
