Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, recently met with the executive of the Pointe-a-Pierre Wildfowl Trust of which she is the patron.
Ms Molly R. Gaskin, President and Ms Karilyn Shephard, Vice President/Hon. Treasurer, were delighted to speak with Her Excellency on the continuing work of their organisation. Among matters discussed was the need to involve young people in the protection and preservation of our natural environment particularly with regard to climate change.
The ladies also presented Her Excellency with a gift of the exotic Lotus flowers native to South East Asia and which grow at the Trust.
