After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Alzheimer’s Association of Trinidad and Tobago (AzTT) once again hosted it’s Launch & Lunch Fundraiser on Saturday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Port of Spain.

In honoured attendance this year was the AzTT’s recently installed patron, Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

The event traditionally kicks off World Alzheimer’s Month (September) when special focus is placed on educating the public on the disease currently affecting millions of people globally. Public education and awareness of the risk factors for the disease are becoming even more urgent as the number of people living with dementia is expected to triple by 2050.
