Her Excellency receives young artist Sheronne Richardson

Her Excellency receives young artist Sheronne Richardson

As Sheronne Richardson, a 6th Form student at Naparima Girls’ High School, and her mother, Lydia Richardson, waited in the reception area of The President’s House, their faces radiated a mix of nerves, excitement, and eager anticipation. They were moments away from meeting Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, to present a drawing that had captured Her Excellency’s attention.

Sheronne’s artwork, titled “Baking a Cake,” had been featured in an exhibition at the NALIS Diego Martin Public Library during Her Excellency’s tour of the facility shortly after its opening in March 2024. The President was captivated by the young artist’s remarkable attention to detail, the lifelike quality of the piece, and her undeniable talent.

Accompanied by Mrs. Debbie Goodman, Corporate Communications Manager at NALIS, Sheronne had the chance to share her passion for art and the inspiration behind her drawing with Her Excellency in a heartfelt conversation about her artistic journey.

Tuesday, June 11, 2024, will forever be etched in Sheronne’s memory. Join the Office of the President in congratulating Sheronne on this incredible achievement!
