Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago extends condolences to the family, friends and the media fraternity on the passing of veteran journalist Jones P. Madeira.
Mr. Madeira had a distinguished career spanning six decades in the print and electronic media in Trinidad and Tobago and across the Caribbean. He was awarded the Chaconia Medal (Gold) in 2018 in the sphere of Public Service/Journalism and inducted into the CBU Caribbean Media Hall of Fame in 2000.
May his soul rest in peace.
