On Thursday October 16, 2025, Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces received a courtesy visit from the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Commodore Don Polo at The President’s House.
The CDS is responsible, to the Commander-in-Chief, for the command, management, discipline and effective employment of the Armed Forces (Trinidad and Tobago Regiment, Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard, Trinidad and Tobago Air Guard and Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Reserves).
Her Excellency offered sincere congratulations to Commodore Polo on his appointment and extended her best wishes as he assumes the mantle of leadership of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force.
