Councillor Petal-Ann Roberts took the Oath of Office as a Secretary in the Executive Council of the Tobago House of Assembly before Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, at a ceremony at the Office of the President, today, Friday June 28, 2024.
Also in attendance at the ceremony was Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, the Honourable Farley Chavez Augustine.
Ms. Roberts is a Chartered Certified Accountant with fifteen years of dedicated experience in the Tobago House of Assemblyโs Public Service. After graduating from Signal Hill Comprehensive School, she has achieved various levels of ACCA qualification including certificates in Public Financial Management and Advanced Taxation.
She previously served in the capacity of Senior Financial Analyst from 2011 to 2017 and as Chief Management Accountant under the Division of Finance and Office of the Chief Secretary from 2017 to the present. She also served as a Director of several State-owned companies including Studley Park Enterprises Limited and THA Venture Capital Equity Fund Company Limited.
Ms. Roberts is very active in the Canaan Church of the Nazarene serving as the Tobago Zone Coordinator from 2016 to 2017 and a Member of the Board of Trustees from 2020 to the present.
Her Excellency congratulated Ms. Petal-Ann Roberts and wished her every success in her new position.
