Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, extends sincere condolences to the family, friends, and the wider Muslim community on the passing of Dr. Mansoor Ibrahim, former Head of the Anjuman Sunnat ul Jamaat Association Inc. (ASJA) and a distinguished servant of community and country.
For more than six decades, Dr. Ibrahim dedicated himself to the medical profession, providing compassionate care to generations of families, particularly in underserved communities across Port of Spain and its environs. His commitment to service extended beyond medicine through his leadership in ASJA, his work with the Inter-Religious Organisation, and his advocacy for understanding, equality and harmony among people of different faiths and backgrounds.
A recipient of the Chaconia Medal (Silver) for Community Service in 1997, Dr. Ibrahim leaves a legacy defined not simply by his many accomplishments, but by the lives he touched through his faith, humility, mentorship and unwavering commitment to helping others.
His remarkable journey—from growing up in East Port of Spain to becoming a medical doctor and returning home to serve his community—stands as an enduring reminder that excellence is most meaningful when placed in the service of humanity.
Her Excellency extends heartfelt condolences to Dr. Ibrahim’s family and loved ones and joins the nation in honouring a life dedicated to faith, service and community.
