On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Ms. Jennifer Daniel and Mrs. Farzana Nazir-Mohammed took their Oaths of Office and received their Instruments of Appointment before Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Ms. Daniel was appointed as a Member of the Statutory Authorities Appeals Board, and Mrs. Nazir-Mohammed as a Lay Assessor of the Equal Opportunity Tribunal.
Ms. Daniel holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Sociology from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. She has served in senior positions within the Public Service, including as Permanent Secretary, and was assigned to several Ministries, including the Ministries of Rural Development and Local Government, Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, and National Security. She also has experience in industrial and labour relations, human resource development, job evaluation, executive compensation and organisational management.
Ms. Nazir-Mohammed is an Attorney-at-Law with over 15 years of experience in justice policy, legislative reform and public sector legal advisory. She has held senior positions within the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs, including Legal Director of the Criminal Justice Unit, where she led the Secretariat to the Legislative Review Committee. She has also contributed to legal and justice initiatives at the national, regional and international levels.
