On behalf of the people of Trinidad and Tobago, Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, extends condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Mr. Ignatius S. Ferreira.
A distinguished business leader and community servant, Mr. Ferreira dedicated more than seven decades to the development of the Furness Group of Companies, leaving an enduring legacy of leadership, vision and service.
In recognition of his contribution to community service, he was awarded the Hummingbird Medal (Silver) in 1980.
His life of achievement and service will long be remembered.
May his family find comfort in the memories of a life well lived, and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
