Assemblyman Wane Clarke took the Oath of Office and received his instrument of appointment as a Secretary in the Executive Council of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) before Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on July 25, 2025 at the Office of the President. The Hon. Farley Augustine, Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly was present for the ceremony.
Assemblyman Wane Clarke is the Area Representative for Lambeau/Lowlands in the Tobago House of Assembly and is the Assistant Secretary in the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport. Assemblyman Clarke’s focus in the Division is on promoting youth empowerment and sport throughout Tobago.
A trained football coach with experience at both club and secondary school level, he established the Lambeau Youth Sport Foundation in 2008. The Foundation promotes the development of young people through various sports alongside the promotion of discipline, character development and holistic personal growth.
Assemblyman Clarke also founded the Tobago Early Childhood Games providing a platform for pre-schoolers to engage in healthy competition while encouraging physical literacy, teamwork and developmental play in these crucial early years.
The Assemblyman is well known in the Lambeau community for his dedication to the Lambeau Anglican Primary School and for his involvement in clean-up campaigns and community maintenance projects.
Within the Assembly, his focus is on improving access to resources, strengthening support systems, and empowering communities to reach their full potential.
Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago congratulated Assemblyman Clarke and wished him every success in the new position.
