On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Kerwyn Garcia SC, First Gentleman, welcomed approximately 50 children to Storytime at The President’s House.
Students from Fishing Pond Presbyterian School and Four Roads Government Primary School took turns reading from Boy Boy and the Magic Drum by Machel Montano. Their Excellencies later led a lively discussion with the students on the book’s themes and key messages.
The Storytime initiative seeks to promote literacy, comprehension and a love for reading among children, while building students’ confidence through public speaking.
