Mr Keith Scotland sworn in as Minister in the Ministry of National Security

Mr. Keith Scotland S.C.,M.P. took the Oath of Office as Minister in the Ministry of National Security before Her Excellency, Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, at a ceremony at the Office of the President on Friday July 26, 2024.

Also in attendance at the ceremony was Dr. the Hon. Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the Hon. Camille Robinson-Regis, Minister of Housing and Urban Development and the Hon. Fitzgerald Hinds, Minister of National Security.

Mr. Keith Scotland obtained the Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours from the University of the West Indies. He graduated from the Hugh Wooding Law School with the Legal Education Certificate and was called to practise in 1996.

Mr. Scotland is head of Virtus Chambers and is a part-time Lecturer at the University of the West Indies and the Hugh Wooding Law School. Mr. Scotland has an extensive legal practice in both the Civil and Criminal Courts as well as the Industrial Court. Mr. Scotland has served on Boards in both the public and private sectors.

Her Excellency congratulated Mr. Keith Scotland S.C. M.P and wished him every success in his new position.
