In keeping with her commitment to serve all of Trinidad and Tobago, Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago once again executed her duties from Tobago (November 25-29).

Her Excellency’s first appointment was a visit to Delaford Anglican Primary School on Monday morning (November 25) where she was warmly welcomed by the students and teachers. After the choir performed a special song in her honour, Her Excellency encouraged the students to join her in singing one of this country’s national songs, God Bless Our Nation.

A lively question and answer session followed. First Her Excellency asked the questions, urging the students to think about and truly appreciate the words of the National Anthem and our other national songs. Then it was the turn of the students who amused Her Excellency with their curiosity about her life. Questions included her age (60) least favourite food (liver) and if she liked shoes (a resounding yes!)
