Their Excellencies congratulate the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago on their National Youth Award

Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Kerwyn Garcia SC First Gentleman, congratulate the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago (DATT) on being awarded “MODEL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME AWARD (GROUP) 2024 ” by the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service at the recently held National Youth Awards.

As patron of the DATT, His Excellency strongly advocates for education and youth development especially as it relates to health and wellness. This award is significant not only as an acknowledgement of the tremendous work of the DATT and the multiplier effect it has on those in the programme and their circle of influence but must serve as a motivator for more young persons to get involved and find their voice.

“I’m convinced of this: Good done anywhere is good done everywhere. For a change, start by speaking to people rather than walking by them like they’re stones that don’t matter. As long as you’re breathing, it’s never too late to do some good.”- Maya Angelou

Congratulations to the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
