On Saturday, February 22, 2025, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and Kerwyn Garcia, SC, First Gentleman, joined the Scout Association of Trinidad and Tobago in celebrating Founder’s Day 2025. Founder’s Day is observed on the birthdate of Lord Robert Baden-Powell and his wife Olave Baden-Powell, who founded the global Scouting movement.
Her Excellency, as Chief Scout and Patron of the Scout Association, was welcomed to the event with a traditional Grand Howl and a Guard of Honour. Following a church service, she was delighted to present awards to the dedicated Scouts and adult volunteers who continue to make a difference through their commitment to Scouting.
Her Excellency extends her heartfelt appreciation to all those who contribute to the growth and success of Scouting in Trinidad and Tobago.
