Reputed to be the oldest children’s carnival event in Trinidad and Tobago, the Red Cross Children’s Carnival is a beloved staple of the carnival calendar. On Saturday February 22, 2025, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Kerwyn Garcia, SC, First Gentleman attended the 68th edition of the event at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
Her Excellency, who is patron of Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society, expressed her delight in seeing the little ones proudly display their costumes and fully embody the theme of this year’s event, “The Euphoria of Mas.” Their Excellencies presented the winners of four categories—Junior Queen, Junior King, V65 Emerging Designers Competition and Band of the Year—with their trophies.
