Her Excellency visits the Headquarters of the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society and Vitas House

As a cancer survivor, Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, brings a deeply personal commitment to her role as Patron of the Cancer Society. Her Excellency visited the Headquarters of the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society and Vitas House on Tuesday 19th November, 2024, underscoring the invaluable contributions of the dedicated teams at both institutions.

These visits highlighted the pivotal role these organisations play in supporting individuals and families affected by cancer whether through easily accessible testing and counselling services and in the case of Vitas House, hospice care. Her Excellency expressed heartfelt admiration to the staff at both institutions for their unwavering dedication and compassion, which offer hope and healing to many in need.

Her Excellency’s message continues to be “Strength does not come from what you can do; it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t.”

Let us continue to support the important work of these organisations and celebrate the resilience of all who face the journey of cancer with courage and hope.
