Last November, little Skye Roberts, a member of the Mason Hall Methodist Junior Choir, wrote Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes expressing an ambition to be “a President just like you”. Skye also asked to meet with Her Excellency whenever the President next came to Tobago.
This morning (28th January, 2019), 10 year old Skye was Her Excellency’s first appointment in the President’s week-long work sojourn in Tobago. Skye brought along Sadiki Balfour and Joshua Edwards, two other members of the choir to meet with and sing for Her Excellency.
So “impressed with their superior voices and well-executed harmonies” was Her Excellency that the entire 17-member Mason Hall Methodist Junior Choir will give a Command Performance within the coming days.
