Her Excellency Hosts Storytime at the President’s House

Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago hosted Storytime at The President’s House today.

This is the second Storytime at the President’s House which is produced by Bocas Lit Fest for the Office of the President.

And this time, instead of Her Excellency reading to the students, they read for her.

Standard 3, 4 & 5 students from Marabella Boys AC Primary School, Seereeram Memorial Vedic Primary School, Chaguanas and Maraval RC Primary School attended and listened attentively as author Alake Pilgrim read from her book Zo and the Forest of Secrets.

Then it was their turn to read. And were they ever up to the challenge!

Jada Marie Ambris of Seereeram Memorial Vedic Primary School, Chaguanas read from The Whisperer’s Warning by Danielle YC Mc Clean.

Aiden Jones of Marabella Boys AC Primary School read The Legend of The Lover’s Leap (Jamaica).

And Denzille Lamy of Maravel RC Primary School read In The Backyard from Stories from the NGC Bocas Litfest Children’s Caravan, Book 7.

Her Excellency was suitably impressed.
