Condolence Statement on the Passing of Dr Allan McKenzie

Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, extends sincere condolences to the family, loved ones, colleagues and former students of Dr Allan McKenzie, on the occasion of his passing.

Dr McKenzie devoted his life to the advancement of education and the shaping of young minds. As the long-serving principal of Naparima Boys’ College, he moulded generations of young men who continue to serve Trinidad and Tobago with distinction and pride.

In 2014, Dr McKenzie was awarded the Public Service Medal of Merit (Gold) in recognition of his contribution to the field of education.

Their Excellencies fondly recall the pleasure of spending time with Dr McKenzie during their visit to the JC McDonald Home for the Aged in December 2025, where his wit, intellect and charisma left a lasting impression.

The Office of the President expresses profound gratitude for his enduring service to our nation, and joins the national community in mourning his loss.

May he rest in eternal peace.
