2015 Medal of Merit (GOLD) recipient Christine Sookram has been re-appointed as a Member of the Statutory Authorities Appeal Board.
Ms Sookram has been a member since 2020.
She received her Instrument of Appointment today from His Excellency Nigel De Freitas, Acting President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Ms Sookram has served the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago at the highest levels of the public service for a number of years until her retirement in 2015.
After obtaining a BA from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Ms Sookram obtained an MBA in Public Sector Management from UWI Cave Hill and did a course in Executive Leadership Development from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
After nearly ten years as a Cabinet official, Ms Sookram became the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Attorney-General followed by similar positions in a variety of Ministries including the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Works and Transport, the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Health.
