Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago delivered the opening remarks at the 3rd International Conference on the Application of Modern Science and Vedic Science Opening Ceremony and Banquet Dinner last Saturday.
The theme of the 2-day conference was “Creating a Peaceful, Prosperous Society: Vedic Technologies for Social Improvement.” Conference speakers and attendees explored topics on methods to reduce crime and create peacefulness for the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago and the region, using Vedic philosophies backed by objective, scientific data and research.
The conference also sought to re-enliven interest in Veda on the basis of the scientific reality that the application of Veda can benefit every area of human life and demonstrate how the principles of Vedic Science verified by modern science, can be applied in various fields to elevate the life of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
The 3rd International Conference on the Application of Modern Science and Vedic Science was attended by over 200 local, regional and international delegates in the fields of education, science and medicine.
