After one year I am still on the learning curve. It has been a steep climb with a few very welcome plateaus along the way. I have experienced pleasure, disappointment, exasperation and renewed hope. Pollyanna lives on. Please allow me this opportunity to thank the staff at the Office of the President, the many that have paid courtesy calls, the joyful children who have brightened many a day and the citizens at large who have been nothing but supportive, prayerful and understanding. The pilgrimage continues.
