🗓️ On this day, 24th July, 1873, the foundation stone for a new Governor’s House was laid by Governor James Robert Longden, after the previous structure had been destroyed by fire in 1867. 🏛️![]()
In 1876, the building was completed, with Governor Sir Henry Irving as its first resident. 100 years later, in 1976, it became The President’s House when Trinidad and Tobago became a Republic!![]()
