Over a two-day period, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and Kerwyn Garcia, SC, First Gentleman, visited four schools across Tobago as part of their ongoing School Visit Programme.
On 19 and 20 October 2026, students of Scarborough Secondary School, Bishop’s High School, Black Rock Government Primary School and Buccoo Government Primary School engaged in interactive discussions and lively question-and-answer sessions with Their Excellencies, exploring the roles and responsibilities of the President and the importance of the Presidency in Trinidad and Tobago’s national life.
Their Excellencies were warmly welcomed at each stop, where school assemblies and cultural presentations added to the vibrancy of the engagements.
Since the launch of the School Visit Programme in January 2024, Their Excellencies have visited 64 schools across Trinidad and Tobago, building on the work of Her Excellency’s predecessors to demystify the role of the President and bring conversations about the Presidency into the nation’s classrooms.
