On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, the Right Honourable Jerrymon Samuel Manwe, High Commissioner for the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, presented his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, during a Presentation of Credentials ceremony at The President’s House.
Also present were Mr. Martin Nworie Eze, Deputy Head of Mission, and Mrs. Angye Dankaro, Minister Counsellor at the High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who witnessed the ceremony.
The Presentation of Credentials is a longstanding diplomatic tradition that formally marks the beginning of a Head of Mission’s accreditation. The ceremony includes the signing of the Visitors’ Book, the presentation of Letters of Credence, the exchange of official gifts, and discussions on matters of mutual interest before concluding with the ceremonial departure of the High Commissioner, escorted by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Mounted Branch.
