On Tuesday 24 March, 2026, Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, received a courtesy visit from a delegation of veterans known as the DIEHARDS at The President’s House.

The DIEHARDS are a group of veteran officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment who served together during the 1990 attempted coup d’etat. The delegation comprised Brigadier General (Ret’d) Ancil Antoine, Brigadier General (Ret’d) Archilus Phillips, Colonel (Ret’d) George Robinson and Colonel (Ret’d) Michael Clarke.

The veterans engaged Her Excellency in meaningful discussions about their group and their continued commitment to service.
