On Monday, October 6, 2025, the Office of the President commenced its School Visit Programme for the 2025/2026 academic year, as Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and Kerwyn Garcia SC, First Gentleman, visited four schools in the Victoria Education District: Naparima Girls’ High School, Presentation College San Fernando, Grant Memorial Presbyterian Primary School and Naparima College.
At each school, Their Excellencies met with the upper student body for interactive discussions before addressing the wider school and staff population. Their Excellencies were also treated to cultural items, including musical performances on the steelpan and songs by talented students, and received thoughtful tokens of appreciation.
These visits form part of the Office’s ongoing initiative to educate students at the upper primary and secondary levels about the roles and responsibilities of the President, while engaging them in meaningful discussions on the Presidency. Last week’s school visits have brought the total number of schools visited to a total of 44, since the launch of the School Visits Programme in January 2024.
