His Excellency Nigel de Freitas, Acting President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago visited the Lidj Yasu Omowale Emancipation Village at the Queen’s Park Savannah on Thursday August 1, 2024.
During his visit His Excellency met Dr. the Hon. Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Professor Sir Hilary Beckles KA, Chair of the CARICOM Reparations Commission, who delivered the feature address at the African Emancipation Day Celebrations.
