Their Excellencies Treat Senior Citizens to Christmas Repast

In the spirit of the season, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Kerwyn Garcia SC, First Gentleman, treated the denizens of the All Saints’ Gordon Home to a festive Christmas repast today, Thursday 21st December, 2023.

Residents of the senior citizens home on the compound of the All Saints Anglican Church, Port of Spain enjoyed cranberry rosemary chicken, honey glazed ham, grilled fillet of fish with sorrel caper sauce, festive rice, herb roasted potatoes, stewed pigeon peas, pastelles, Christmas salad, sorrel cheesecake and Trini fruit cake all lovingly prepared by the President’s House chefs and served to their guests by Their Excellencies themselves.

The First Gentleman also sang for the attendees!

Assisted on vocals by Warrant Officer Justin Lezama and guitarist Lieutenant Kerron Valere, His Excellency put on a spirited performance of Baron’s Come Go and Scrunter’s Homemade Wine to the delight of the guests who tapped their feet or sang along.

150 years since its opening, The President’s House continues to inspire visitors from near and far 🇹🇹✨On Tuesday 24th January, 2026, the Office of the President was delighted to welcome students of Christianburg Wismar Secondary School in Guyana 🇬🇾 and Eshe’s Learning Centre in Port of Spain 🇹🇹 for tours of The President's House and grounds. The young people enjoyed a guided walk-through of the grounds, followed by a tour of the interior, where they learned about the role of the President and saw firsthand the rooms in which official duties are carried out 🏛️.The students from Guyana also had the opportunity to meet and interact with Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, ORTT, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, who engaged them in lively conversation about their visit and experiences thus far.We hope that their visit was both educational and enjoyable. For more photos, click the links below:Christianburg Wismar Secondary Schoolflic.kr/s/aHBqjCLALEEshe's Learning Centreflic.kr/s/aHBqjCLt5i ...
