Their Excellencies host another edition of Storytime at The President’s House

On Thursday 12th March, 2026, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and Kerwyn Garcia, S.C., First Gentleman, hosted the second instalment of Storytime at The President’s House for 2026.

Students of Cumana S.D.A. Primary School and VOS Government Primary School attended the event and participated in small-group reading sessions facilitated by members of staff of the Office of the President.

The central feature of the programme was an engaging and interactive reading of That Amazing Capybara written by Alisa Gomez, followed by a lively question-and-answer session with Their Excellencies. The students shared their reflections on the story and posed a number of thoughtful and imaginative questions.

On Tuesday 24 March, 2026, Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo ORTT, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, received a courtesy visit from a delegation of veterans known as the DIEHARDS at The President's House.The DIEHARDS are a group of veteran officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment who served together during the 1990 attempted coup d'etat.
