On Wednesday, 5 November 2025, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and Kerwyn Garcia, S.C., First Gentleman, hosted the annual Heads of Mission Dinner at The President’s House. This annual event serves as an opportunity to honour the Diplomatic Corps, strengthen diplomatic relations and showcase Trinidad and Tobago’s culture and hospitality.
In attendance were 31 Heads of Mission and their spouses, along with the Honourable Sean Sobers, M.P., Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, and Mr. Randall Karim, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs and Head of the Foreign Service.
His Excellency Álvaro Enrique Sánchez Cordero, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps delivered remarks on behalf of the diplomats, following which Her Excellency the President raised a toast to her distinguished guests.
Guests were greeted on arrival by the lively rhythms of the Shell Invaders Youth Steel Orchestra. Pre-dinner cocktails featured the melodic performance of guitarist Stefan Roach, with the dynamic ensemble Lujoe and The Gifted serenading guests afterward, adding a vibrant touch to the evening’s proceedings.
