On Saturday 17th January, 2026, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and Kerwyn Garcia, S.C., First Gentleman, attended the First Citizens Sports Foundation Sports Awards 2025 and 2026 Hall of Fame Induction, held under the theme “Legacy Takes Flight.”
The occasion celebrated excellence in sport and recognised the outstanding achievements of athletes who distinguished themselves during the 2025 sporting year. Her Excellency the President presented the awards for Sportsman of the Year 2025 to Keshorn Walcott and Sportswoman of the Year 2025 to Teniel Campbell.
Her Excellency extends her congratulations to the athletes who delivered exceptional performances during the 2025 sporting year, as well as to the sporting icons whose legacies and achievements continue to inspire national pride.
