Their Excellencies attend Queen of the Road – the Calypso Rose Musical

Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Kerwyn Garcia S.C., First Gentleman, recently attended the opening of Queen of the Road – The Calypso Rose Musical.

The musical, which premiered locally on Friday 10th May, 2024 at the Central Bank Auditorium, was a tribute to the life, achievements and experiences of the legendary chantuelle, Calypso Rose. Their Excellencies thoroughly enjoyed the authentic storytelling and vibrant performances which superbly captured the life of our beloved icon.

The show, which was held under Her Excellency’s patronage, was written and directed by Rhona Spencer and presented by Yes Productions.

On Tuesday 24 March, 2026, Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo ORTT, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, received a courtesy visit from a delegation of veterans known as the DIEHARDS at The President's House.The DIEHARDS are a group of veteran officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment who served together during the 1990 attempted coup d'etat.
