The Office of the President of the Republic of T&T
Fifty years ago, Trinidad and Tobago became a Republic and gained its first President. Today, the seventh holder of that office, Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, ORTT, continues to build on the work of her predecessors in demystifying the role of the President. 🇹🇹Since the launch of the School Visits programme in 2024, Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo ORTT, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Kerwyn Garcia SC, First Gentleman have visited several schools across the nation, bringing conversations about the Presidency into classrooms. On 23 April 2026, Their Excellencies continued their outreach in the North Eastern Education District with visits to SWAHA Hindu College, Sangre Grande Secondary School, and Northeastern College. At each stop, they engaged senior students in meaningful discussions on the role and responsibilities of the President. Her Excellency also addressed the full student body, sharing words of encouragement and inspiration. Students, in turn, warmly welcomed Their Excellencies with vibrant cultural presentations and tokens of appreciation. These visits bring the total number of schools visited since January 2024 to 54.🔗 📷For more photos:SWAHA Hindu College - flic.kr/s/aHBqjCSc3ZSangre Grande Secondary School - flic.kr/s/aHBqjCSaapNortheastern College - flic.kr/s/aHBqjCScii ...
