One of the esteemed duties of the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is to receive Letters of Credence from incoming Ambassadors and High Commissioners.
On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Mr. Balázs Heincz, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Hungary to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Anyel Sosa Felipe, presented his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
A Letter of Credence is a formal diplomatic letter that grants accreditation to an envoy, authorizing them to act on behalf of their Head of State. During the Presentation of Credentials ceremony, these Letters are presented to our Head of State by incoming Ambassadors and High Commissioners, who are entrusted with full powers to represent their respective nations in Trinidad and Tobago.
Her Excellency was honored with the gift of a bottle of TOKAJI WINE, renowned as “the king of wines, the wine of kings,” made famous by Louis XIV and the court of Versailles.
