On August 30, 2025, His Excellency Kerwyn Garcia, S.C., First Gentleman of Trinidad and Tobago and Patron of the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago, celebrated the achievements of 37 bright and dedicated young people at the Association’s 4th Health Internship Programme Graduation Ceremony.
From developing innovative tools for diabetic care to providing life-giving and worthwhile care to members of the public at outreaches, these interns demonstrated creativity, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to tackling one of our nation’s most urgent health challenges.
In his speech, His Excellency commended the Association and its interns on their hard work and expressed confidence that their contributions will help shape a healthier future for Trinidad and Tobago.
