Her Excellency hosts Storytime at The President’s House

Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago hosted Storytime at The President’s House on Wednesday 19 February, 2025.

Students from Lengua Islamia TIA Primary School and San Juan Girls’ RC School took turns reading passages from Ky’s Magical Adventures: Where the garbage goes by Siam Cuffy-Young. At intervals, Her Excellency engaged the students in lively discussions on the key messages and themes of the book.

The Storytime initiative seeks to promote literacy, comprehension and the love of reading in children. It also seeks to develop confidence through public speaking.
