The Santa Rosa First People’s Community are on a mission to raise funds to develop a 25-acre parcel of land granted to them by the State into a Heritage Village. To this end, the Community staged a Benefit at The Northern Academy for the Performing Arts on October 12, 2023.
Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, lent her support to the fundraising effort as Patron of the event.
The Santa Rosa First People’s Community envisages the First People’s Heritage Village, becoming a major local, regional and international tourist attraction, drawing visitors from far and wide to learn about the history, art, craft, food and traditional medicines of the First People’s.
