Mr. Sookoo distinguished himself as the longest serving councillor, with over 30 years of service. He is remembered for his unwavering commitment to the people and the development of his community.
In 2010, Mr. Premchand Sookoo was awarded the Public Service Medal of Merit Gold in the sphere of public service.
