His Excellency Nigel de Freitas, Acting President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, extends condolences to the family and friends of John Babb, who was laid to rest on August 8, 2024.
Described as the founding father of the TT Newsday, John Babb was a veteran journalist who was recognized nationally in the sphere of Journalism, having been awarded the Hummingbird Silver Medal in 1994 and Hummingbird Gold Medal in 2012.
