Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, administered the Oath of Office to Senator Richie Sookhai as a Minister in the Ministry of Works and Transport on Friday last at The President’s House.
Senator Sookhai, a former President of the Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce, holds a Masters of International Business degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and was appointed as a Government Senator in the 12th Republican Parliament.
Witnessing the ceremony were Dr. the Honourable Keith Christopher Rowley, Prime Minister, the Honourable Camille Robinson-Regis, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Senator the Honourable Rohan Sinanan, Minister of Works and Transport, the Honourable Foster Cummings, Minister of Youth Development and National Service, the Honourable Adrian Leonce, Minister in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and Senator Laurel Lezama-Lee Sing.
