Her Excellency visits the Assembly Legislature, THA

A special sitting of the Assembly Legislature, Tobago House of Assembly was held in honour of Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes ORTT, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday January 31, 2019.

Her Excellency addressed the special sitting as did both Chief Secretary Mr. Kelvin Charles and Minority Leader Mr. Watson Duke. At a reception afterward, Her Excellency had the opportunity to meet and mingle with the members and specially invited guests of the Assembly.

Good morning.

It is the morning of day four of my five day work week in Tobago and already the staff of the Office of the President and I are debating whether we should return to Trinidad on schedule. Tobago, is very seductive. It has been an enlightening and extremely productive sojourn – this effort has proven to be quite worthwhile. Her Excellency Receives Members of the Mason Hall Methodist Junior Choir

Last November, little Skye Roberts, a member of the Mason Hall Methodist Junior Choir, wrote Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes expressing an ambition to be “a President just like you”. Skye also asked to meet with Her Excellency whenever the President next came to Tobago.
