Address delivered by His Excellency, the President at the Indian Arrival Day

Excerpt: “From their humble beginnings as indentured labourers, trained to focus all industrial skills in the sugar industry, the East Indian population has taken those same industrial skills and have had them metamorphosed in the creation of an environment of defining competencies in the fields of medicine, law, engineering, entrepreneurial business, politics, culture, religion and sports. This has redounded to real benefits to our country, the Caribbean region and the world at large.”
